A neighboring community, Oaks Club, has two 18-hole layouts to further expand nearby golfing alternatives.

Additional venues for recreation are accessible at the Country Club of Sarasota adjacent to Palmer Ranch. Among these facilities are the nineteen Har-Tru tennis courts of the Serendipity Racket Club which also has a pool and a modern gym.
